Japan is world famous for it’s champagne powder for a reason, but don’t just take our word for it! Join certified guides to ride the best of lift-accessed backcountry or sidecountry in Rusutsu, Kiroro or Niseko and Moiwa and find out for yourself.

We offer advanced off-piste/backcountry options for fellow powder enthusiasts to join a guiding trip in Niseko/Moiwa or one of the fantastic nearby resorts of Kiroro or Rusutsu, with a knowledgeable guide to provide hints & tips on the snow while showing you all the best spots. Your guide will select the best location for the day depending on current snow conditions. With complimentary transfers, there is no need to worry about transporting your equipment or getting to a meeting point. Typical timings are 8am-5:30pm. We will confirm exact timings when planning your day.

Available for advanced to expert skiers and snowboarders – not suitable for beginners/intermediate levels. Terrain choices depend entirely on avalanche safety conditions.

Group guiding will go ahead every Monday and Thursday during the off-peak (subject to demand). Get in contact with us to book your place and make sure you don’t miss out!

Rates do not include the cost of lift pass or lunch. Group guiding in Kiroro/Rusutsu/Moiwa is for advanced levels; groups may be made up of both skiers and snowboarders. Breaks will be factored into full day programs to allow for rest and recovery. Groups require a minimum of 3 people (up to maximum of 6), therefore you may be offered an alternative date or choose to upgrade to a private lesson if minimum participant threshold not reached (surcharge applies). All groups will be confirmed the day before. Refundable if no solution is available.

Avalanche safety equipment is mandatory to enter backcountry – available to rent (+¥3000) or bring your own (transceiver, shovel and probe).
