Service Policy

Payment and Cancellation Policy
Bookings are not confirmed until full payment is made:
Cancellations: 14+ days before booking – full refund less merchant fees incurred; 7-14 days 50% refund less merchant fees; 0-6 days – non-refundable. No-show: non-refundable.

Start / Finish Policy
Bookings start and finish at the pre-arranged times.
Please arrive with snowsports gear ready to use and lift passes already purchased.
Bookings will not be extended due to customers running late. If we cannot contact the guest via the provided contact details, and cannot find them at pre-planned meeting location 30 minutes after the starting time, booking is considered a ‘no-show’ and therefore non-refundable.

Lessons and guiding finish at the same starting location, except with prior arrangement.

Please pay special attention to your meeting location and starting time. If in doubt please contact us immediately.

Private Requests
Instructors may be requested by name for Private Lessons and Private Guiding; however, this is subject to availability, health and visa status.  When the named instructor is not available, we will select the most suitable replacement and advise you of this in advance. We reserve the right to change the instructor and nominate a different member of staff, as deemed suitable by management at any time

Complimentary pickup and drop-off service is provided – must be pre-booked. Service provided 20 minutes before and immediately after lessons / guiding. Eg, for a 10am lesson, expect a 9:40am transfer. Any other transfers require alternate plans.
If you are running late please call us immediately. Our vehicles may have other bookings and we cannot wait. You may need to arrange a taxi – and be familiar with our start/finish policy.

No compensation can be made for weather conditions or other operational conditions outside of the control of Niseko Black Snowsports School. Lift accessed and Backcountry bookings are subject to avalanche risk and weather conditions. If all Niseko backcountry gates are closed – we will attempt to reschedule to suitable date / time. Full lift closure in the resort due to weather – we will attempt to reschedule to suitable date / time / location.

Risk Associated With Snowsports In booking lessons or guiding services with Niseko Black Snowsports: the customer, parent or guardian understands that snowsports are inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury to themselves, persons in their care, property and other people. Niseko Black Snowsports, our agents, employees and other affiliated parties will not be held liable for any injuries or accidents occurring before, during or after services have been provided. Niseko Black Snowsports expects all guests to protect themselves against all risk of travel and to be covered by appropriate winter sports travel insurance for injury costs such as medical care, evacuation and cover for unused lift passes/rental gear/snowsports services. We can assist arranging insurance.

Backcountry / Out-Of-Bounds 
All skiers and snowboarders who are taken ‘out of bounds’ as part of a lesson or backcountry guiding are required to have avalanche safety equipment (minimum includes shovel, probe and activated beacon/transceiver) and be familiar with its operation.  This equally applies to any lessons and/or guiding in resorts away from the Niseko area, for example Kiroro and Moiwa.

Care for Children
Parents / guardians must notify us with any dietary or safety issues. Niseko Black Snowsports will not be liable for negligence on behalf of restaurants regarding food allergies. Children under 4 years old must have a responsible parent / guardian nearbyduring lessons for toiletry issues and a contact phone number must be provided. Following lessons, we reserve the right to arrange a childcare service if parents/guardians have arranged to collect children from us, but are not on time and unreachable.
