Franco Mazzetti

Franco’s Story:

My name is Franco, I’m from Bariloche, Argentina. I’m 27 years old and I’ve been skiing since I was 3. I can speak Spanish, English, Italian, Portuguese, Catalan and a little bit of French.

I spent all my winters back home skiing in a local ski club, and fell in love with this sport.  The exhilarating emotions one line can give is something truly magical, from the adrenaline when carving on a freshly groomed piste to the joy of a bottomless Champagne powder ride.

I knew I wanted to keep skiing as much as I could, so I became a ski instructor as soon as I finished high school when I was 18 and kept instructing since then, quickly I discovered that skiing with friends wasn’t the only fun thing, but actually teaching a person how to ski from scratch and showing them all the thrilling and joyful emotions of this beautiful sport. Watching people learn from me gives me such a rewarding feeling, and that encourages me to always try to do my best and give all of me in my lessons, always %110!!.

I’ve worked in Argentina, Andorra and now I’m teaching here in Japan, a surreal place on the beginning , so different from everything I know that it took a while to get used to it, but it’s culture and moreover it’s people and places are so beautiful that I’m definitely coming back!! Also for it’s unbelievable snow and super tasty food!
